Which Colours Look Best on a Chestnut?

A good starting point for chestnuts is shades of blue and green - most people agree that these colours suit them well. Neutrals (black, white, grey etc) are also popular. From there it largely becomes a matter of personal opinion.
As a natural redhead myself I grew up with an aversion to reds, oranges, and pinks. But after being sorted into the red school house three schools in a row I was forced to introduce red to my wardrobe and found that I actually quite like it. Depending on the shade of chestnut you have you may wish to go for a brighter red, or a darker burgundy shade. I also grew to like pink, even dying streaks of pink in my red hair at one point (sadly no photos exist of this, but it looked surprisingly good! Certainly much better than the streaks of green phase...) However if you hate pink, you're probably not going to like pink on your chestnut no matter how good or bad other people think it looks.
There are many other colours that suit them though, and if a colour isn't pictured here it is not because it will look bad, its only because I haven't photographed it yet! At the end of the day you need to choose a colour that you like, not necessarily what everyone else likes. Hopefully this post will help you with your decision.
